ABOUT MARIANA
MY STORY
Since 2023, Organized Chaos has been on a wild ride, peering through a quirky, narrative-shaped telescope to highlight the one-of-a-kind outlook of every client.
Hi, I’m Mariana Thornton—a Cuban artist, designer, and muralist based in Denver, Colorado, and the creative mind behind Organized Chaos. I started this studio with the belief that powerful visuals don’t have to be polished to perfection—they just have to be honest, intentional, and rooted in connection. Organized Chaos is my space to bring bold ideas to life, whether that’s through large-scale murals, visual branding, or community-centered installations.
My work is shaped by where I come from: the vibrant colors and culture of Miami, the grit and resilience of starting over, and the desire to create things that mean something. I approach every project hands-on—from the first idea to the final brushstroke—working closely with clients to make sure their story is told in a way that feels true and unforgettable.
At the heart of it all, I believe in art that moves people—literally and emotionally. Whether it lives on a wall, a screen, or in a public space, my goal is always the same: create something impactful, unexpected, and deeply human.
Let’s make something bold together.
WHAT I DO
My work lives at the intersection of public art, branding, fabrication, and experiential design. I build immersive environments that are bold in concept, rich in texture, and deeply rooted in storytelling.
HERE’S WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE:
Murals & Public Art
I’ve had the opportunity to lead mural projects for local businesses like 3C Fit and Parkwell, where I’ve helped transform blank walls into vibrant storytelling spaces. My goal is always to create work that feels grounded in community—art that invites people to pause, connect, and feel something.
Large-Scale Fabrication & Event Installations
Right now, I’m developing an interactive Cuban-inspired installation for the Adams County Festival Latino 2025. This project is deeply personal to me, as it celebrates my roots through tactile, participatory design. I’m weaving together elements of memory, culture, and play to create something that doesn’t just live on a wall—but lives in the moment and in the community that experiences it.
Through Organized Chaos, I offer a full range of creative services—from branding and visual identity to murals and environmental design. I love working on projects that allow me to blur the lines between digital and physical, art and utility, beauty and message. Whether I’m designing for a cultural institution, a small business, or a public space, I see every creative touchpoint as a chance to tell a meaningful story.
Brand & Spatial Identity
If you’re looking for someone to help you bring a bold vision to life—someone who will dive deep into your “why” and build something beautiful from there—you’re in the right place.
Let’s Build Together
My mission is to continue crafting work that invites people to look closer, stay longer, and feel more.
I’D LOVE TO PARTNER WITH:
Cities and cultural institutions
To develop placemaking projects, public art initiatives, and installations that celebrate local identity.
Event producers and creative agencies
To design immersive brand activations and sculptural experiences that resonate.
Small businesses and community orgs
Who want to bring their story to life through space, design, and visual language.
Dream projects include converting underutilized urban spaces into interactive art experiences, collaborating with museums on spatial storytelling, and pushing the limits of hybrid design — where a mural can be a map, a website can feel like a playground, and a sculpture can tell a story.
